We are looking for an Cloud Sales Engineer (Virtual - Remote) to help new customers get more value from their data.   From accessing data, enriching and unifying data, to deriving endless new insights.   Our team is growing to help more SMB to Mid-Market customers benefit from Actian Avalanche's Cloud Technology. 
Do you like helping customers achieve their goals, but want to spend less time traveling?  In this role, you will be the core sales technical consultant for new cloud customers in the fast paced cloud data and analytics market! 


    • Customer first focused and helping customers achieve their digital transformation goals
    • Help customers with digital and cloud journey, assisting with Actian Avalanche's fit into their architecture
    • Be the technical go-to for the inside sales team during discovery calls, customer proposal delivery, and implementation recommendation for new cloud SaaS business
    • Conduct virtual and live product demonstrations
    • Assist customers with POCs and self-trials to drive success
    • Continuous learning for cloud, data, and solutions to our customers problems that exist in the market - be on the leading edge
    • As necessary, conduct end-users training on the Actian Avalanche solution and functionality for customer onboarding for key accounts
    • Occasional travel may be required 


    • 5+ years technical sales experience with SaaS, and strong capabilities with data analytics in today's cloud market landscape
    • Knowledge: Big Data, Analytics, Data Science, Cloud Data Warehouse
    • Ability to work with individual contributors, managers, and executives regarding customer meetings and Actian Avalanche solution selling
    • Experience balancing multiple customers while getting results quickly 
    • Client management and organization/business awareness 
    • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills for business and technical audience
    • Prior startup experience is a plus, but not required
    • BS in EE/CS from a top university is also a plus, but not required
