The Role
The sales Operations, technical Specialist is a key member of the sales Operations team, working behind the scenes to ensure the health of the Sales organization’s SFDC environment, enabling and empowering other members of the Sales Operations team. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining Actian’s CRM/SFDC sales environment, maintain with changes to product structure, SFDC fields and relationships and maintain effective communications with Account Managers and other departments across the company to ensure proper communication of system and process changes and enhancements, while providing outstanding customer support to internal customers across the company.

Responsibilities:

    • Understand and oversee operating guidelines of Sales Operations and help maintain sales team alignment to sales processes, policies and procedures
    • Partner with IT to support the configuration and testing of new and existing Salesforce.com features of the Sales environment, including user management, roles/profiles, permission sets, custom objects, new page layouts, custom fields, formula fields, validations, Custom Settings, etc
    • Creation and maintenance of quoting and other sales templates
    • Work closely with Field Sales and Renewals Sales teams, Account Managers, Marketing, Business Operations, LDRs, ISRs, Technical Support, Finance, IT, and other Actian functional areas to support the sales team’s success
    • Act as driver of SFDC data cleanliness across the sales organization
    • Create reports and dashboards in SFDC to help analyze data and develop metrics
    • Find opportunities for potential process and system improvements and support other sales efforts as assigned
    • Create and maintain product codes (SKUs), international product List Prices
    • Evaluate ways to automate and improve current processes, tools and dashboards to drive operational and productivity improvements
    • Partner with global business stakeholders to proactively identify, drive, and build improvements, enhancements, and system customization that solve critical business needs
    • Keep up to date with Salesforce releases, features and best practices
    • Make recommendations to management regarding implementation as appropriate

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional training in data management, operations, business, or finance
    • 5+ years’ experience in Salesforce.com (implementing and configuring preferred)
    • Experience in sales operations preferably in high-tech industry
    • Ability to build effective partnerships with business owners and technical partners
    • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail with ability to juggle complicated daily routines
    • Amazing written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide solution-oriented approaches to problem solving
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel & PowerPoint are important. Jira/Confluence experience as well Access are a plus
    • Strong understanding of sales processes, business acumen, and methodologies
    • Experience using Nintex is desired
    • Ability to learn new technologies for implementation
