Action is seeking a Help Desk Triage Technician to join our team at our corporate office in Irvine.
The Help Desk Triage Technician is focused on inventory, equipment, and the onboarding/offboarding of team members. Security is the number one priority for Action’s Technology Department and this position will prioritize following our Security and User Access Policy, which includes (but is not limited to) ensuring all team members and third party users meet the minimum password complexity requirements and Multi-Factor Authentication is enabled, access to internal systems is limited to a team member’s job duties and legitimate business needs, and that all equipment has proper monitoring and anti-virus programs installed. When workloads allow, this position is expected to resolve basic/simple user issues or help end-user with basic training on how to use applications, reset passwords, and enter tickets into the system, and finally escalating to the right individual or tier on the team. This position takes pride in providing excellent customer service via e-mail, ticketing and telephone systems.
Compensation: $21 - $23 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
- Maintain inventory of all Action managed and supported devices.
- Configure computer equipment including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Account creation/removal and access for all Action team members and third-party users.
- Respond & control voice calls, queues, emails, ticketing, and chat or system requests from team members.
- Provide basic training for users.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred, not required, equivalent experience accepted.
- Must be over 18 years of age and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Familiarity with IT Help Desk practices (ticket systems, chat support, knowledge bases, team collaboration and phone support).
- Experience with software platforms such as Zoom, DocuSign, Tungsten Power PDF, and Zoom phone systems preferred.
- Basic knowledge of PC components and their functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Some experience in Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra and Active Directory users and computers in a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in assisting others and resolving issues.
- Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to timely follow-up on all issues.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds as needed.
