POSITION SUMMARY

We are at a point of rapid growth and looking to expand our investment in our most important asset, our People. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who has the passion to take our Accounting Department to the next level and build for scale. We are seeking a trustworthy Accountant who works efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. You can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management.

To ensure success, Accountants should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations, be prompt, honest detail-oriented, professional, and analytical. Top candidates will have excellent presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to decision-makers. The Staff Accountant will be based in our HQ in Tacoma, WA and will be reporting to the Controller.

ON ANY GIVEN DAY, YOU COULD BE DOING THESE THINGS

- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data
- Complying with all company, local, state and federal accounting and financial regulations
- Successfully manage the ME close process and create periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, etc
- Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies
- Computing taxes and completing tax filings
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintains accounting internal controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Guides accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations
- Successfully manage new customer credit limits through CreditSafe monitoring
- Complete weekly review of AR Aging and Collections Report to guide Collections process with AR Team
- Other scope of work as defined by management

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Knowledge

- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Masters Degree a plus.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements and accounting software
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- An understanding of the healthcare workforce and millennial workers
- Experience identifying gaps and improving processes and programs
- Experience prioritizing needs and coming to the table with solutions
- Strong report-writing skills
- Ability to model and strictly follow directions or procedures as required
- Extreme proficiency in MS Office tools, Excel, and NetSuite
- Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes

$55,000 - $70,000 a year
