R&D – Engineering
Full-time
Addepar has the potential to make a huge swath of private investing more transparent, more efficient, and more ethical.  We’re building a single platform that unifies hundreds of portfolio and market data systems and leveraging that platform to create robust, powerful financial applications. The problems we’re tackling are complex and globally important.

The technical effort involved to build a fast, scalable and reliable platform is massive. Addepar engineering builds portfolio data ingestion systems that process tens of millions of transactions across millions of accounts every day, and pricing and reference data systems that provide coverage for over a trillion dollars in assets. We build and run our own distributing serving and financial calculation framework that allows clients to run complex analysis of massive data sets in real time. We design robust APIs and powerful, versatile user interfaces to empower wealth managers to ask nuanced questions about their clients' holdings.

As Engineering Director of Product Engineering, you will lead the team responsible for building those core user experiences as well as owning the entire web application infrastructure.  You will mentor and manage multiple teams of frontend and full-stack engineers. You will also partner directly with product management and product design to create products with simple and intuitive interfaces that capture complex data models. We're looking for a proven leader that thrives when building  recruiting pipelines and strong partnerships with product and sales teams. The Engineering Director also excels at writing technical design docs and reviewing pull requests. Most of all, we want someone passionate about building high-functioning teams and high-functioning software.

The organization you'll be joining at Addepar is phenomenal. Our engineering group includes senior engineers and leads who have worked at companies like Google, LinkedIn, Two Sigma, and DE Shaw, working together to build elegant systems that bring transparency and efficiency to a vast swath of financial services. If you’re interested in that, we’re excited to meet you.
