Software Engineer - Calculations and Asset Modeling

Our users rely on Addepar's calculations to analyze their portfolio, make trading decisions, and report performance to their clients. As part of Addepar's Calculations and Asset Modeling team, you'll be responsible for the correctness and performance of these calculations, along with the health of the framework we use to execute them.

From vanilla bonds to rate swaps and private equity funds, Addepar must model a large and ever-growing set of assets. Each time you add support for a new class of securities, you'll grow the set of potential clients Addepar can sell to. You'll have a direct impact on growing the business. You'll also have the chance to shape the underlying framework and data models that we use to describe these assets.

    • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical field.
    • 3+ years experience as a software engineer.
    • Familiarity with basic financial instruments and calculations.
    • Ability to write readable, performant, and extensible code.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work smoothly with other engineers and product managers.
    • Willingness to mentor others in areas of expertise.
    • Experience with Java or Ember.js is a plus.
    • Experience leading teams or projects is a plus.
