Adept is an ML research and product lab building the next frontier of models that can take actions in the digital world. We’ve raised a $65M Series A from Greylock and Addition and several angel investors, and were recently highlighted by Fortune.
We're looking for passionate team members who are energized by our ambitious mission, excited by a fast-paced startup environment, and eager to learn and collaborate together in our San Francisco office.
Design at Adept is a multidisciplinary group that uses prototyping and design to explore and define Adept’s products. This requires us to define new interaction principles that leverage (and contribute to) generally intelligent foundation models – this is a greenfield area for interaction design.
Our focus is on people and how our products can positively impact them, and the world around them.
We are looking for a creative, technically experienced designer/engineer to join the team and help define our future products.
Skills you'll bring
- A passion for how people engage with technology
- Comfort with engaging in broad exploration of an undefined space
- Demonstrated use of using prototyping with code as a key tool to uncover knowledge and insights and to ultimately define product design (aka thinking through making)
- Ability to prototype both quickly and scrappily, as well as creating polished and production-fidelity prototypes
- Expertise in the front end web development and deployment toolchain to execute the above
- Ability to collaborate closely with other designers and product team members
- Excitement in collaborating with research and engineering teams on product ideas
- Portfolio demonstrating solid interaction design skills
- Ability to present work in an engaging way that sparks excitement for further collaboration and execution across the company
- Interest in and prototyping with language models is a plus
Additional qualifications:
This role will report to Basil Safwat.
The pay range for this position in California is $150,000- $200,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
