Do you thrive at the intersection of full stack engineering and data architecture? Are you a seasoned engineer who’s passionate about building data platforms that fuel innovation in agriculture?
Advanced Agrilytics is seeking an experienced and innovative Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team. This position is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to advance and scale our data and product engineering strategies, in a fast-paced, startup environment. We are building a modern data and application platform to transform how agronomic insights are delivered.
Advanced Agrilytics is a leading agronomy technology company delivering sub-acre agronomic intelligence at scale. Through an integrated ecosystem of data, software, and services, we transform decision-making for growers, consultants, retailers, and manufacturers—powering smarter operations and more profitable acres. Our business spans four complementary areas: agronomy services, software licensing, applied research, and sustainability and funding support, including Section 180 residual fertility valuation reports. Our proprietary spatial agronomic methodology, delivered through products like TerraFraming™ and TerraIntel™, is proven to increase yield consistency, reduce variability, and enhance long-term resilience across every acre. Founded in 2015 in Huntington, Indiana, and headquartered in Indianapolis, we remain committed to helping partners improve profitability and sustainability while building a legacy for generations to come.
How you will help us grow:
- Build & Scale Applications: Design and develop secure, reliable, and high-performing full stack applications using React, Node.js, and AWS
- Create Great User Experiences: Deliver intuitive, responsive, and performant front-end features that help agronomists and growers make better decisions
- Design & Optimize APIs: Build and refine APIs and microservices that connect applications with complex agronomic and geospatial datasets
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, agronomy, and data science to turn research and insights into customer-facing tools
- Shape How We Build: Work with the team to improve code quality, testing, and deployment practices while establishing patterns that make our applications easier to scale
- (Nice-to-Have) Data Engineering Contributions: If you have experience with Airflow, Redshift, or data pipelines, help bridge applications with our modern data platform and improve data accessibility for analytics and AI/ML
Experience you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong emphasis on full stack development
- Proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript; strong background in building modern web applications and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong database design and SQL skills
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills; comfortable mentoring others
- (Bonus) Data Engineering Skills: Familiarity with Airflow, Redshift, data pipelines, or geospatial data (PostGIS, H3, GeoParquet)
What our culture brings:
- Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus program
- Comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance)
- 401(k) Plan with company match
- EAP and proactive mental health support
