Responsibility
- Model Development : Assist in designing, implementing, and testing mathematical models for optimization problems (e.g., linear programming, integer programming, mixed-integer programming, network flow models)
- Collaborate on creating scalable optimization models for applications like planning, routing, scheduling, inventory management, and capacity utilization.
- Create heuristic models in addition to mathematical models as per the problem requirements.
- Data Analysis: Derive insights from data. Validate model inputs and outputs
- Clean, pre-process and integrate datasets for use in optimization models.
- Testing & Documentation thoroughly testing your work before deploying and Documenting
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematical Modeling or related fields
- Experience with optimization modeling and solvers (CPLEX, Gurobi, COIN-OR, etc.)
- Experience with python
- Proactive self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership of their work and meeting deadlines
- Willingness to join full-time on successful completion of internship
