Here's the Deal
As Aircraft Lighting Engineer you will report directly to the Vice President of Cockpit and Subsystems and be responsible for defining the technical requirements relating to performance, design, integration and testing of the Interior, Exterior and Emergency lighting systems for the Aerion AS2 supersonic business jet. 

On any given day you might:

    • Perform analysis and design relating to placement of lights on the AS2
    • Provide aircraft level lighting guidance
    • Establish requirements, processes and methodologies relating to the lighting system
    • Calculate and validate lighting performance
    • System design and architecture analysis
    • Interact directly with suppliers
    • Define traceability to the FARs
    • Perform and teach electromagnetic compatibility design and analysis
    • Perform computational electromagnetics calculations and assessments
    • Validate and verify requirements
    • Provide guidance for System test and certification
    • Report Status 
    • Provide guidance to the various Sub-systems and Structures IPTs in support of their development and certification
    • Provide subject-matter expert level guidance on both practical and theoretical aspects of the lighting systems design
    • Provide support for engineering, certification, and flight test departments from concept to product certification
    • Foster a culture that inspires high levels of performance and employee retention

We're looking for someone who has:

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
    • 3+ years of relevant experience
    • Lighting systems design and integration experience
    • Aircraft development experience
    • Experience developing processes, guidelines, and methodologies to support the development of the Aerion AS2
    • A clear understanding of industry guidelines and documents relevant to the design and certification of the lighting system
