Here's the Deal
As the Structural Analysis Lead Engineer, you will report to the Airframe IPT Leadership Team and be responsible for analyzing the structural integrity of the AS2 supersonic business jet and for guiding long-term stress analysis methods development.

On any given day you might:

    • Lead a team in developing stress analysis methods and tools for AS2 aircraft design and certification
    • Develop road map for structures team, in partnership with Tier 1 suppliers and Partners, in the areas of analysis methods, tools, and failure criteria for the entire aircraft
    • Serve as a focal between Aerion and the FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authorities for all structures topics
    • Support IPT leads in development of the PSP, PSCP, issue papers, and other certification documents
    • Establish strategies for maintenance program, inspection intervals, and inspection methodologies
    • Support new business development, trade studies, and proposal activities
    • Support design reviews with IPT teams and partners/suppliers

We're looking for someone who has:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or similarly related area.  Master’s degree strongly preferred
    • 12+ years of experience in performing stress analysis, developing methods and performing validation testing for Part 25 aircraft components
    • 3+ years of experience in leading stress and/or structural integrity teams
    • Knowledge of the conceptual and preliminary design phases of aircraft development is strongly preferred
    • Thorough understanding of latest composite and/or metallic structural static, durability, and damage tolerance requirements for Part 25 certification
    • Part 25 DER credentials preferred
    • Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities
    • Strong decision making and communication skills
    • Excellent problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets
