Here's the Deal
As the Structures Design Integration Engineer you will report to the Structures Manager and be responsible for contributing to the design and configuration of the primary aircraft structures for the AS2 supersonic business jet.

On any given day you might:

    • Be responsible for subsystems integration and packaging into primary structure
    • Design and configure primary aircraft structures
    • Analyze the applicability of new and emerging technologies and advanced techniques
    • Provide technical support in design and development of the preliminary structures layout that meets weight, cost, manufacture-ability and certification requirements
    • Serve as a design focal between the AS2 program and Tier 1 suppliers
    • Support technical review of supplier capabilities and progress

We're looking for someone who has:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or similarly related area
    • 7+ years of experience in performing design of large aerospace primary structures
    • Strong composite structural design background
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of latest structural design, as well as manufacturing trends in the Aerospace industry
    • Knowledge of CATIA V5 and Teamcenter PLM is preferred
    • Surfacing skills is preferred
    • Experience with Fibersim or equivalent is preferred
    • Knowledge of the conceptual and preliminary design phases of aircraft development is strongly preferred
    • Thorough understanding of the structural design requirements for Part 25 certification is preferred
    • Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action, and excellent problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets
