Here's the Deal
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will report to the Systems Engineering IPT Lead. You will support all aspects of the systems engineering design and integration activities for the AS2 program.  

On any given day you might:

    • Maintain System Engineering processes and methodologies across the entire engineering organization.
    • Track systems performance against requirements for V&V
    • Ensure systems designs meet operational & functional requirements
    • Analyze systems for affordability, safety, reliability, and maintainability
    • Support studies for test-ability, human systems integration, survivability, and vulnerability
    • Develop, manage, & document systems requirements, including review of systems architectures
    • Coordinate civil safety assessment processes in accordance with ARP4761, including but not limited to Functional Hazard Assessments (FHAs), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs), and Common Mode Analyses (CMAs).
    • Assist in configuration management of aircraft systems.
    • Audit and report progress against requirements to provide traceability
    • Work closely with program IPTs to ensure systems requirements are met through design, testing, verification and validation.

We’re looking for someone who has:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar (Master's in Systems Engineering preferred)
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering for complex aerospace development programs
    • Strong understanding of complex systems development methods, systems testing practices, and process and tools
    • Understanding of multiple engineering disciplines, such as aero, mechanical, electrical, and computer architectures
    • Ability to interpret the results of engineering analyses
    • Current knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and airworthiness
    • Knowledge of EASA and ICAO regulatory requirements and airworthiness highly desired
    • Applied knowledge of Systems Engineering industry guidelines and regulations (SAE ARP4754, SAE ARP4761, MSG-3, etc.)
    • Experience with RELEX, PowerLOG, EAGLE, SLICWave, or similar RM&S software applications is desirable.
    • Problem-solving skills across multi-disciplinary skill sets
    • Expertise in RM&S of commercial or business jet cockpits highly preferred
    • Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action
    • Demonstrated success working within highly empowered teams and working with a diverse group of people
