Here's the deal:
We plan have this position start work in our temporary facility, Aerion South, at Melbourne-Orlando International Airport. Start date will be contingent upon successful completion of our Design Readiness Review (DRR) anticipated in Q2 2021. 

The return of supersonic flight is not without its obstacles. Reporting to our Chief Sustainability Officer, in this newly created role you will help us define with other stakeholders the framework under which supersonic aircraft will be certified and operated. In this role you will carry Aerion’s unwavering position of being an environmental industry leader where technological development and sustainability must go hand in hand

On any given day you might:

    • Coordinate and lead activities related to environmental and regulatory policy affecting the entry and operation of supersonic aircraft among different national and international working groups and represent Aerion within:
    • Aviation industry Associations such as NBAA, FAA, GAMA, AIA, ICCAIA and IBAC
    • Work with International environmental regulatory bodies such as ICAO CAEP Working Groups
    • Support the development of policy and regulations both at local and international level
    • Coordinate and lead legislative initiatives at the State and Federal level
    • Coordinate and support lobbying efforts on various regulatory and environmental policies
    • Be in direct communication with engineering teams will be critical in understanding the technical status and outlook of the program and achieving successful communication with industry and other organizations

We're looking for someone who has:

    • BS in engineering sciences plus a minimum 10 years of experience in the aviation environmental regulatory field
    • Technical background in supersonic aircraft design and good understanding of the implicit design trades
    • Strong understanding of the technological and regulatory challenges facing the re-introduction to service of civil supersonic aircraft
    • Proven ability to build effective interpersonal relationships and rapport with industry colleagues
    • Excellent presentation and written skills, with the ability to successfully network and influence other professionals
    • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
