ABOUT THIS ROLE

Aero is looking for a Lead Host to join the Van Nuys team. In addition to the duties of a Host, as a Lead Host, you will be leading the Host team in your location to ensure each Host is working in line with the Aero brand values, policies, and procedures. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with and knowledgeable about all company and FAA policies and procedures and ensuring all activities remain in accordance with the Host Procedures Playbook and TSA security requirements. You will work alongside your Host Team, Flight Crew & Operations team harmoniously to make critical decisions regarding daily operations. All Hosts will be responsible for adhering to security and safety standards and procedures; all Hosts will also undergo training as Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) to ensure a deep understanding of TSA procedures and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate with FBO partner to ensure guest needs and Aero processes are met at all times
    • Coordinate with Aero’s Flight Crew, Cabin Crew, Concierges, and Operations team to respond to guest and operational issues, requests, and changes
    • Create a meaningful and personalized guest experience
    • Perform administrative tasks such as but not limited to: Assisting with printing badges for the Aero team, Assisting with host schedules, Ordering supplies, Accepting deliveries
    • Remain up to date on all host responsibilities, policies, and procedures
    • Inventory management (both station and aircraft supplies as needed)
    • Coordinate with Digital Team to manage base technology/systems & tools Coordinate with Procurement for deliveries and ensure the successful implementation of CX initiatives and procedures 
    • Enforcing Aero standards and policies with Host teamMorning briefings and duty assignments for the day
    • Catering, prepping, loading and off-loading on Jets, keeping equipment clean and organized
    • Other projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience working in guest-facing roles (aviation or luxury hospitality preferred)
    • Excellent communication skills 
    • Must have a flexible work schedule be willing to work outside of 9-5 hours including nights, split shifts, weekends and holidays and be comfortable with constant changes
    • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Ability to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50lb. (luggage, carts, etc.). Occasionally kneel, bend, carry and assist around the aircraft 
    • Must be tech savvy and proficient with Google sheets, Microsoft Office, Gmail
    • Must live within 60 minutes of the VNY Airport
    • As this is a (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]: All prospective employees are subject to pre-employment testing and random testing throughout employment for the following drugs and their metabolites: Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opioids, and Phencyclidine (PCP)
