ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Senior Accountant at Aero, you will be joining our Finance Team  and working in a multicultural environment with skilled and dedicated colleagues, whose mission is to structure, analyze and forecast Aero’s activity and finances. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will produce reliable reports and follow-ups in order to ensure Aero’s financial health and growth. Your analysis will help Aero’s leaders and managers make the right decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Financial Reporting and Month-End Close: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements by participating in month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation. Support accounts payable and receivable functions, guaranteeing precision in invoicing and expeditious handling of payments. Partner with finance team leaders to guarantee integrated financial management and reporting.
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform regular, detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow daily, identify trends and provide insights for improving cash management.
    • Revenue Management: Perform and ensure Revenue posting and reconciliation.
    • General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Taxation and Governance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax filings and regulations. Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls to support financial and governance requirements.
    • Business Process: Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at improving financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
    • Applies principles of cost accounting with a primary focus on increased analysis of cost accounting and inventory data, knowledge of cost accounting and inventory systems, and understanding the intercompany cost transfer processes.
    • Additional Responsibilities: Include but not limited to support accounts receivable, payroll, fixed asset management, 1099 creation, participating and drive financial audits (internal and external).
    • Other projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

    • 4+ years of successful experience in accounting (CPA preferred).
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP financial statements preparation and monthly close processes.
    • Systems experience with ERPs (Netsuite).
    • Proficient in financial modeling and master of Excel.
    • Strong written communication, including accounting memos and work papers and verbal communication.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks and details effectively within firm timelines.
    • You have a results-driven and impact-oriented mindset.

    • Pay Range: $95,000-126,000 per year in Los Angeles, CA - exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
