ABOUT THIS ROLE

Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) are FAA certificated Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Technicians who perform direct maintenance in accordance with the company’s Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). AMT’s report to the Director of Maintenance or his subordinate.

AMTs at Aero work a 10-hour, 4-day work schedule, and while shifts may vary during training, this position will eventually cover our second shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Able to service, repair, perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration of company aircraft and to ensure the airworthiness of company aircraft
    • Technicians working on aircraft, components or related parts of aircraft are responsible to perform work outlined on applicable work forms in accordance with the approved CAMP, GMM policies and procedures, manufacturer’s manuals and FAA requirements
    • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills required
    • Accurately complete all required maintenance records
    • Provide leadership and guidance required to perform assigned tasks and whenever necessary to train others including apprentices
    • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, Federal safety, health, regulatory requirements, company and OEM manuals (GMM, AMM, etc.) and with any internal policies and procedures identified by the company
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance

REQUIREMENTS

    • Airframe and Powerplant Ratings required (Valid A&P license)
    • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
    • Experience performing aircraft maintenance on large aircraft (10 seats or more) (Preferred 2 years of greater experience, Preferred experience on Embraer 135/145/600 or Legacy aircraft, Preferred Avionics Experience)
    • High school diploma/GED (Associates degree or higher preferred)
    • Travel will be required (Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and Company objectives will be expected, may be required to travel on flights to provide maintenance support during charter/regular operations.) 
    • Must be able to read and understand technical manuals
    • Must be able to work and interact with other mechanics, supervisors, and flight crews in a professional manner.
    • Must have positive attitude towards productivity, quality of work and safety
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn operating systems the company utilizes
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work overtime when workload demands it
    • Must be physically capable to execute the duties of this position including: Bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing for extended periods of time, must be comfortable working on ladders and or workstations of 10 feet or less and small spaces such as under instrument panels and inside empennage, Frequent usage of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is necessary, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and the ability to work on exposed aircraft parking ramp in weather conditions including but not limited to rain and winds.
    • As this is a (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]: All prospective employees are subject to pre-employment testing for the following drugs and their metabolites: Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opioids and Phencyclidine (PCP).
$37 - $45 an hour

Pay Range: $37.00- $45.00 per year in Los Angeles, CA - exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
