ABOUT THIS ROLE
As one of the primary links between Aero and our guests at Van Nuys airport, you will deliver top-notch valet service, supporting flawless guest departure and arrival experiences. Reporting directly to our Ground Experience Supervisor, you will help ensure the quality of Aero’s ramp and ground experience at VNY.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Valet
- Greet guests, open car and trunk doors, and retrieve or load bags
- Park and retrieve cars, stage cars at Signature West, issue ticket stubs and matching tags, inspect vehicles to detect any damage, collect fees from guests, and explain Aero’s valet service offering
- Keep outdoor parking and greeting areas clean and orderly to maximize space
- Service cars (exterior wash including wheels) according to Aero standards
Ramp Support
- Weigh guest bags on departures, load bags onto carts, and occasionally bring bags airside when needed
- Help with our uplift and down lift of the stock on jet arrivals
Operations
- Monitor access to the Aero lounge and office outside of departure/arrival times to help maintain a safe and secure operating environment
- Call emergency responders, Van Nuys Airport Police, or the relevant authorities in the event of an incident
- Use all systems and tools effectively to ensure operations run smoothly
- Contribute to process improvement, and support other related projects, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CA Driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Able to work on-site in Van Nuys airport 40 hours per week
- Able to meet the physical requirements for this role: be on your feet for the entire shift, move at a fast pace from one area of the airport or lounge to another, occasionally kneel or bend, and move, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 lb (luggage, carts, etc.)
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, according to operational needs
- As this is a (DOT) safety-sensitive position as defined in 14 CFR part 120[1]: all prospective employees are subject to pre-employment testing and random testing throughout employment for the following drugs and their metabolites: Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opioids, and Phencyclidine (PCP)
BENEFITS & PAY
- Pay Range: $18-22 per hour in Los Angeles, CA. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
