Role Overview:
We are looking for a Director to lead our Engineering Program Management team who has experience leading complex, technical development efforts including management of system integration, opto-mechanical devices, electrical development, embedded SW, Infrastructure/DevOps, QA, and/or Perception development. Candidate will need to have a strong understanding of hardware and software development and release processes with an ability to coordinate release and delivery of multiple products to ensure company milestones stay on schedule.

What you'll be doing:

    • Work with cross-functional project teams (including vendors/suppliers) to drive design, development, test, and release activities
    • Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks across programs
    • Drive closure on technical issues and development roadblocks to ensure projects meet top-level requirements and are delivered on time
    • Effectively communicate program risks/status regularly to key stakeholders (including customers)Manage software release schedule and coordination of software deliverablesDefining software development processes and strategies
    • Developing and improving Product Lifecycle and Phase Gate processes

What you'll have:

    • Experience with defining the scope and prioritizing work to meet release schedules
    • Experience in Agile software development principles 
    • Strong facilitation skills to lead efficient technical design requirements, status, and review meetingsExcellent communication and presentation skills
    • Experience shipping complex projects within an aggressive timeline
    • Ability to rapidly adapt and work independently in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to have:

    • Experience with manufacturing test software 
    • Experience with automotive software development and safety standards such as AUTOSAR and ASPICE 
    • Experience with SW project management tools such as JAMA, JIRA, and Confluence
