Candidates would be expected to:

    • Provide engineering expertise in the design, development, and test of secure wireless embedded systems
    • Perform system design and prototyping, schematic capture and layout, prototype bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification and signal characterization of internal hardware as well as partner hardware
    • Support product development all the way from inception through development and into end-product production
    • Work closely with firmware engineers on bringup of new architectures and new product categories
    • Be self driven
    • Be comfortable working at arms length with partner companies on products
    • Have the right to work legally in the USA
    • Be able to travel internationally

Candidates should have the following at a minimum:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or computer engineering
    • 5 years of relevant work experience developing consumer or commercial products in a fast-paced environment
    • Professional New Product Introduction (NPI) experience with consumer electronics, wireless devices, and/or low power embedded platforms - with at least one product shipped
    • Real world experience with low power, embedded systems, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, layout, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Test (DFT)
    • Demonstrated history working with OEM/ODM partners
    • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a thorough attention to detail

The following skills and experiences are also valued:

    • Embedded system experience - especially small battery powered devices
    • 5+ years of board level experience taking multiple new hardware designs from concept through NPI and into high-volume production
    • Experience with rapid prototyping of proof of concepts by repurposing off the shelf products
    • Strong understanding of embedded firmware and scripting languages a plus (C/C++ and Python in particular)
    • A working knowledge of RF and antenna design
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
