This takes innovative products not beholden to the traditional way of doing things. And these products in turn depend on brilliant UX writing that’s simple, transparent, and relatable. 

That’s where you come in. You’ll lead our small but growing team of writers supporting iteration in our existing products and rapid expansion into (lots of amazing) new products, features, and markets. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate daily with our superb team of product designers, product managers, engineers, user researchers, lawyers, and other content strategists. 

At least to start, you’ll be focused both on leading the team and on some IC work. Unlike joining an established company, in this role you’ll help define the way we rebuild key financial services from the ground up.

We’re looking for someone with a great UX sense, a strong command of both writing and editing, and deftness in leading and organizing a team. 

What You'll Do

    • Lead a small but growing team of UX writers
    • Write clear and compelling copy for user interfaces, emails, SMS, user portals, apps, disclaimers, and more
    • Advance brand voice across our products
    • Support our expansion into new products and features
    • Further Affirm’s simplicity, helpfulness, and ease of use
    • Lead product IA and naming efforts
    • Test copy
    • Optimize UX

What We Look For

    • 4+ years UX writing experience
    • Ability to operate with minimal oversight
    • Very well organized
    • Great collaborator
    • Familiarity with localization a plus
    • Management experience a plus
    • Motivation to build Affirm into an iconic brand
