At Afresh, our mission is to make the fresh food supply chain more efficient, thus dramatically reducing food waste and making fresh, nutritious food available and accessible to everyone. Our A.I.-powered solutions optimize ordering, forecasting, and store operations for fresh food departments for brick-and-mortar grocers. As the first Solutions Architect at Afresh, you will be responsible for leading our integrations with all of our retailer partners. You will build effective partnerships with our customers' IT and Operations teams and drive the success of our end-to-end integrations. You'll also develop the playbook for our team to continue to perform successful integrations with future customers, and you'll lead technical elements in our sales processes with those customers. You have technical and commercial experience, love creating new processes in a fast-paced environment, and are excited to reduce fresh food waste in the grocery industry!

    • Leads and executes successful integrations with our partners
    • Creates detailed, actionable integration plans that enables both Afresh and our customers to understand and execute on the full scope of our integration processes
    • Validates customer data during integrations
    • Creates scalable integration process and playbook that we will use for all integrations
    • Deeply understands Afresh integration needs and customer context
    • During sales processes, provides technical expertise and partners with customer's IT teams

Attributes and skills

    • Exceptional data analytics skills, which allow you to deeply understand our customers' data
    • Understands customer business processes, and utilizes expertise and appropriate product functionalities to address customer issues
    • Commercial mindset that allows you to understand and act on what our customers care about most
    • Customer empathy and ability to build meaningful relationships with customers' IT teams
    • Detail and process orientation, with the ability to manage complex projects spanning many external and internal stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Tableau or other dashboarding tools. Python proficiency preferable.
    • Effectively collaborates with Afresh's Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support teams
    • Open to travel


    • 5+ years experience in software integrations
    • 2+ years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer-facing role) experience
    • Experience in grocery or retail industry preferred
    • Knowledge and experience working with various data types, databases, ETLs
    • Extensive knowledge on end-to-end processes and solution architecture
    • Experience in sales and sales processes
    • Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred
