Afterpay prides itself on having a large segment of loyal customers who see the service as their go-to place for budgeting their beauty and fashion shopping. We recently launched a loyalty program designed to provide extra rewards for our loyal users and to celebrate tier engagement with the brand. The program will also offer a set of benefits to the entire Afterpay audience across their entire lifecycle journey.   

Our growth is a function of 2 things: 1) Attracting a high-quality customer base, 2) Engaging those customers to shop with our merchant partners through our platform.

 In order to make a transformative change in this area, we are searching for a Global Head of Engagement and Retention. This role will report into the Global VP of growth.

The Role

You will shape, build, and operate a global CRM, growth, engagement and loyalty org.  You’ll be able to reel off the best tech in the business and the most advanced data sources, to deliver your goals and establish a toolset and a strategy that will enable us to thrive at x10 our current size.
 
Owning the shaping of the next chapter of Afterpay’s engagement strategy, you will have access to not only data and tools but also a global team of talented marketers. You will be expected to help them grow to their full potential in their own careers and capabilities while continuing to build out the team. 

You will be comfortable and experienced creating and operating around myriad customer loyalty programs. More importantly, you will know how to build loyalty.  You will know how to successfully navigate the internal matrix of Marketing, Product, Sales and Technology teams to get what you need done. 


Key Responsibilities

- Own global business metrics 
- Shape AfterPay’s global strategy for user growth, retention, engagement, and loyalty across all owned channels including web site, in-app, email push and more
- Design the tach-stack needed to measurably impact usage across all categories and segments
- Deeply understand our users and identify opportunities for growth and optimization at every stage of their lifecycle
- Engage cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, analytics and creative to build the next generation of growth tools

Minimum Qualifications

- World class experience in driving CRM/lifecycle marketing on a global scale
- World class experience in managing a global team
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Creative and empathetic leader
- Merchandising and commerce experience
- SQL
