Job Title: Contracts Specialist
Location: Remote to McLean, VA office
Salary Range: $45,500 - $84,500

SUMMARY
Agile Defense supports mission-critical government programs by providing compliant, responsive, and efficient contract management services to ensure the successful execution of federal initiatives. Our contracts team plays a vital role in maintaining strong partnerships with government agencies and industry partners, facilitating smooth and timely execution of agreements, and ensuring alignment with federal regulations. This program operates in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, consistency, and operational support are essential to driving success across all contract lifecycle stages.

As a Contracts Specialist supporting Agile Defense’s U.S. government contracting efforts, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring that mission-critical programs run smoothly and compliantly. This is more than just a paperwork role. It's a pivotal position that connects the dots between our internal teams and external partners. You’ll take ownership of essential contract documentation, support negotiations for NDAs and Teaming Agreements, and help maintain the integrity of our contract records from start to finish. Working closely with stakeholders across Contracts, Finance, Procurement, and Delivery, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track and audit-ready. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serve as the primary interface with prime partners, negotiating NDA and TA artifacts that capture internal requirements and incorporate favorable positions for Agile Defense.
· Document key contract data for company files, processes, and requests for information, including participating in workflows with other functions to develop contract briefs and other records as appropriate.
· Complete Representations & Certifications and other required documents for primes and other third parties.
· Develop Intercompany Work Agreements in collaboration with Operations, Finance, and Procurement leads to ensure subcontracting compliance across all Agile Defense owned and affiliated entities.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

· This is a non-supervisory position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
· Bachelor’s degree, with focus in Business Administration, Contracts Management, Finance, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 1 year in contracts, legal, or related profession.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
· Experience working with Federal Government contracts.
· Experience in reviewing and editing contract agreements including NDA and TA artifacts.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Strong work ethic and collaborative team player.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
· Ability to foster relationships both internally within the company and externally with prime contracts POCs.

Preferred Skills
· Ability to effectively negotiate contract terms and conditions to maintain preferable outcomes and positive relationships.
· Ability to juggle competing priorities and utilize time management techniques to meet deadlines and complete tasks.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
· Remote opportunity with 0%-10% travel. Possible but limited off-hours work to support urgent or critical activities. General HQ office environment if onsite. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Strength Demands
· Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
