Position Overview

The GPT & AI Systems Lead is a key individual contributor role working cross-functionally to advance Agiloft’s enterprise AI operations. The right candidate for this role will have deep technical expertise in administering enterprise-level GPT instances, creating and maintaining custom GPTs, and designing valuable integrations that align with organizational needs. This role will also drive strategic initiatives around AI agent creation and workflow optimization—identifying where agents can augment or replace manual processes. The ideal candidate is hands-on, deeply experienced, and strategic, with the ability to envision the bigger picture of AI’s role in transforming the workplace before implementing tactical solutions. This role reports to the VP of AI Operations.

Job Responsibilities

    • GPT Administration & Custom Development
    • Administer the organization’s Enterprise GPT instance, ensuring stability, governance, compliance, and security of usage.
    • Design, develop, and maintain custom GPTs tailored to departmental or company-wide use cases.
    • Partner with business units to translate needs into GPT-powered solutions, balancing flexibility with enterprise controls.
    • Ensure documentation, monitoring, and lifecycle management for GPT-related deployments.
    • AI Integrations & Workflow Optimization
    • Evaluate and implement integrations between GPT systems and enterprise platforms (CRM, ERP, HRIS, and knowledge bases).
    • Assist in mapping workflows across the business to identify opportunities where GPT agents or automation can increase efficiency, reduce silos, enhance compliance, or elevate Customer experience.
    • Prototype and deploy AI agents that align with organizational goals and ethical standards.
    • Maintain a roadmap of potential GPT and agent-enabled enhancements for leadership review and prioritization.
    • Strategy & Vision
    • Provide input on the evolving landscape of enterprise AI and emerging GPT capabilities.
    • Balance rapid experimentation with governance and strategic alignment, ensuring responsible and value-driven AI adoption.
    • Evangelize the role of AI in redefining the workplace by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaboration & Enablement
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to design GPT-enabled tools that meet business and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in the development of training materials, guidelines, and best practices for employees engaging with GPT systems.
    • Serve as advisor and AI subject-matter expert to AI Operations team.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience in technical roles involving AI/ML, automation, or enterprise systems integration.
    • 3+ years hands-on experience administering or building with GPT, LLMs, or conversational AI platforms.
    • Proven track record of designing and delivering technical solutions that align with strategic business objectives.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for automation and AI augmentation in complex workflows.
    • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance considerations for enterprise AI.
    • Proficiency in Python, APIs, and enterprise integration methods.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically, balancing vision with hands-on delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience creating and managing AI agents in enterprise environments.
    • Familiarity with SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR, and other compliance frameworks related to AI/data.
    • Experience working in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
    • Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agent orchestration tools.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field.
