About Us
Agtonomy is pioneering advanced automation and AI solutions to transform agriculture and beyond. Initially focused on specialty crops, our TeleFarmer™ platform addresses labor-intensive needs with automation, turning conventional equipment into autonomous machines. By partnering with leading manufacturers like Doosan Bobcat, we integrate smart technology into tractors and other machinery, enhancing safety and efficiency. As we expand into ground maintenance and other industrial applications, our expert team continues to address key challenges with labor shortages, sustainability and profitability across various industries.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team with experience in the development, testing, and deployment of perception-enabled autonomous systems. Do you enjoy tackling the most cross-disciplinary parts of a complex program? Do you love solving business-critical problems with minimal direction, a high degree of ownership, and the freedom to make it happen? As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineering leaders and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the design, integration, and optimization of cutting-edge technologies.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted technical expert of high-reliability, safety-critical autonomous systems owning system-level requirements, CONOPS, metrics, and test coverage to ensure we ship safe and robust autonomous systems.
- Contribute to system and subsystem requirement definition, decomposition, and traceability of hardware, software and product capabilities.
- Develop frameworks and facilitate trade studies to optimize for performance, safety, and cost across various subsystems.
- Support defining criteria for internal and external metrics, performance & safety guidelines
- Establish release standards and test & validation processes, working collaboratively with engineers and field operations teams to ensure systems operate as intended.
- Support design decisions, tradeoffs and compliance of safety-critical systems, regulations and standards
- Design fault trees and other mathematical models for quantitative risk analysis
What You'll Bring
- Experience as an Architect or Systems Engineer for complex or safety-critical systems
- Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex multidisciplinary problems.
- Proven success in implementing program requirements, including processes, definition, decomposition, and verification.
- Experience working with systems resilient to extreme climatic conditions, mechanical vibrations, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and high electrical noise environments.
- Experience in developing fail-safe fault-tolerant modes as well as fail-operative modes that ensure system functionality continues despite faults.
- Proficiency in leveraging various tools for systems modeling and statistical analysis to effectively address and solve problems.
- An acute attention to both thinking broadly and through the details
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- Experience in the application of ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO 18497 or other similar standards for L4/L5 autonomous vehicles
- Experience with simulation and modeling of physical hardware/software systems or data-driven modeling and analysis techniques
- Experience in reliability modeling, including the analysis of field data
- M.S. or higher degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or other relevant disciplines or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on systems, safety, or related engineering experience with a focus on analysis of high-integrity systems
- Previous experience in regulatory approvals for greenfield applications.
