Who Are We
AI Camp (www.ai-camp.org) teaches the future of technology to middle and high school students, training them to become professionals, and placing the best to work for top technology companies. We aim to establish a different kind of higher education, one where students learn valuable knowledge and skills at work while avoiding crippling student debt. We want to return education to the apprenticeship model (learn-by-doing) that has worked for thousands of years. As student debt climbs to 1.7T dollars and our confidence in current higher education drops to new lows, we are battling one of the biggest problems that face the education sector today.
We are advised by top-tier technology and education professionals, including (but not limited to) several CTOs, an OpenAI fellow, and a Stanford professor. Our mission is to open doors for our students and equip them to overcome any obstacles that come their way. We are only as great as the doors we open.
About the role (AI Instructor)
Embark on a transformative journey this summer with AI Camp! As a mentor in AI, you will immerse yourself in a unique role: mentoring students in AI and Generative AI. This opportunity is designed to enable you to share your expertise and passion for AI with a diverse group of eager learners. You'll have the chance to inspire and shape the next generation of AI innovators by providing hands-on instruction, project execution guidance, and valuable insights into the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
Summer Dates: June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024
Online Pre-Program Training: June 3, 2024 - June 7, 2024

What Will You Do:
- Mentoring and Teaching: Lead class of 6-20 teenagers spanning between 1 to 2 weeks learning and how to use AI and Large Language Models. During the class, you will guide students on using generative AI tools on building a small project.

Additional opportunities that may be available later on are:
- Lead a team in our Summer Guided Internship program applying your technical acumen to create solutions for external companies through building LLM-based solutions
- Design and Code Software Development as part of our Team Tomorrow Program
- Lead other interns in developing software in our Team Tomorrow Program
- Design New Curriculum for future educational purposes
What we are looking for:
- strong Python knowledge and coding abilities (must-have)
- some Data Science Background (must-have)
- some Machine Learning Background (must-have)
- some experience with LLM's and prompt engineering (nice to have)
- some Web Development Background (nice to have)
- passion for education
- a strong desire to learn and improve everyday

$200 - $400 a week
The Instructor will be expected to teach a 1 or 2 week (Monday through Friday) course where each day runs from
either 2 hours a day or 4 hours a day depending on desired work load.
