Truera is looking for our first Marketing leader. This leader would work with the CEO to build and execute the initial marketing strategy for the company. This leader would be asked to work with the CEO and sales/business development to build a marketing strategy to define and execute on marketing goals and support our sales team motions. This will be both a strategic and tactical role. In addition to defining the strategy, this leader would be expected to roll up the sleeves to build marketing content, execute on events, etc. in conjunction with contractors and/or other members of the team. The leader would also work with the CEO and others in the company to develop and execute our marketing strategy in support of our sales effort. The leader would be asked to recruit, hire, and help build go-to-market teams.
- The most important characteristics we are looking for in this role are smarts, creativity, breadth of marketing experience and a track record of success
- The ideal candidate would have experience in multiple aspects of marketing including (but not limited to) demand generation, product marketing, thought leadership, content marketing, analyst/press relations, etc.
- Experience in companies selling products to technical audiences, such as Data Scientists, Developers (or Engineers), DevOps, etc. is a significant plus
- We are open to different levels of experience including candidates who have been a VP or director or a manager who is close to being promoted to a director-level position
