Our client, an innovative, client-focused boutique HEOR consulting firm is growing! We’re looking for a Senior Biostatistician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics or biostatistics and proficiency in statistical programming using SAS and/or R.
In this role, you will utilize real-world data to conduct a range of health care economic, clinical effectiveness, and burden of illness analyses to support pharmaceutical products throughout their life cycles across a range of disease areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis of studies that inform healthcare decision-making and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for their clients!
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for tier one pharmaceutical companies.
- Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives.
- Write statistical code and collaborate across projects on results auditing.
- Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients.
- Reference EMR (electronic medical records) and claims databases and work with data vendors.
Skills and experience you bring:
- Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R; experience with other programming tools (e.g., Python, Stata) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively.
- Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirited and an openness to out of the box creative problem solving.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred.
Location: Ideally you live in the GTA, but we’re open to remote in Canada where you’ll be working in EST time zone.
