We are actively recruiting for the VP of Brand and Marketing Communications for an exciting Non-for profit organization in the sports industry.

The Vice President of Brand, Marketing & Communications is a pivotal leadership role dedicated to advancing public awareness and engagement for a global movement supporting sports. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President spearheads the development and execution of integrated brand strategies, marketing initiatives, and communications campaigns to amplify the organization's mission and impact.

The Vice President is supported by and manages a team of three and brings a proven ability to motivate a team, collaborate and provide mentorship. This role serves as an ambassador for the organization so daily interactions embody the brand and inspire the entire team to do the same. 

Responsibilities

    • Lead the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive brand and marketing strategies that resonate with diverse audiences and align with organizational goals.
    • Ensure consistency and integrity of messaging across all communication channels, driving differentiation and relevance in the market.
    • Oversee all aspects of owned, earned, and paid media initiatives, leveraging partnerships and platforms to maximize visibility and impact.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams, chapters and external partners to integrate brand strategy into all facets of the organization's operations, from fundraising to program delivery.
    • Foster and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, media outlets, and other key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and drive strategic partnerships.
    • Provide strategic support and guidance to fundraising efforts, ensuring alignment with brand values and objectives.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive communications and public relations strategies to enhance the organization's reputation and reach.
    • Cultivate and nurture relationships with media contacts to secure earned media opportunities and amplify key messages.
    • Direct digital media efforts, including content creation, website management, and social media engagement, to maximize reach and engagement.
    • Manage budgets effectively, measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and providing strategic leadership to the Marketing & Communications Team.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
    • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of success in brand management, marketing, and communications.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards shared goals.
    • Extensive experience in developing and executing national strategic communications and media relations campaigns.
    • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging across various mediums.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented approach.
    • Passion for the transformative power of sport and its positive impact on individuals.
    • Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.
