As a Social Media & Influencer Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding the strategy and development of our entire social media ecosystem and influencer relations across Japan, including creative content, community engagement, and growth.
Reporting to the Director of Growth; this role will lead our social media channels and influencer relations within Japan to develop a best-in-class social media and influencer program. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's online presence and expanding our reach across social media platforms. With a strong understanding of storytelling, brand, and design, you'll lead the end-to-end process of social media and influencer campaigns, including the ability to plan, curate, and tailor engaging content and copy for different social channels and audiences.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute an effective social media strategy tailored to your market to increase brand awareness, engagement, and growth.
    • Content Creation: Create compelling and shareable social media content, including text, images, videos, and infographics, aligning with Airalo's brand voice and values. Develop and execute strategies on social media channels and other region-specific community platforms.
    • Community Engagement: Monitor and actively engage with the Airalo community on social media platforms, responding promptly to comments, questions, and feedback, and fostering positive relationships with followers.
    • Influencer Strategy Development: Collaborate to develop and execute influencer marketing strategies aligned with Airalo's goals and target audience.
    • Influencer Identification and Recruitment: Identify and establish partnerships with relevant influencers and content creators who align with Airalo's brand values and target audience.
    • Campaign Planning: Create and manage end-to-end influencer marketing campaigns, including content ideation, production, and distribution across various social media platforms.
    • Content Collaboration: Collaborate with influencers to create authentic and engaging content showcasing Airalo's products and services.
    • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze the performance of influencer marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Must-haves:

    • Bachelor’s degree with a strong similar professional background & 3+ years experience in a similar capacity
    • Extensive experience in brand management, content, social media, and customer and market insight in Japan with an in-depth understanding of the social and digital space
    • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, and any Regional Social Media channels while keeping abreast of social media best practices, and regional and global trends
    • Fluency in Japanese and English, with impeccable verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience with executing and implementing channel and audience research
    • Superior internal & external communication & cross-functional stakeholder management skills
    • Enjoying and excelling at handling multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix & complex environment
    • Good time management with an eye for perfection & a strong operational background
    • Ability to write your own copy

Good to have:

    • Prior experience in the tech, travel, or telecommunications industry
    • Certificates and courses in digital marketing and research methods
    • Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies and services
