As the Principal Social Media Manager, User Experience, your role is pivotal in shaping the strategy and growth of our social media ecosystem. Leveraging a profound understanding of storytelling, brand dynamics, and design principles, you'll spearhead end-to-end social media strategy for both established and emerging channels, amplifying our followership and fostering brand affinity.

Working with the User Experience team, you'll provide leadership and strategic guidance to our Regional counterparts, sharing best practices, research, and driving excellence across the Airalo organization. Your responsibilities extend to contributing to the architecture of our global digital footprint and regional-specific social media strategies.

Collaborating with various stakeholders in the business, your focus will ensure that our social channels align seamlessly with company-wide strategies. From fostering creative content and community engagement to driving overall social media growth, you'll play a key role in establishing KPIs, benchmarks, and processes. This ensures a cohesive vision, bringing our brand to life through social media in every region and country we operate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Own the development and oversight of a strategic, multi-channel global social media marketing plan that not only contributes to the overall growth of our business but also fosters love for our brand. Collaborate seamlessly with regional teams to ensure alignment with overarching company goals while allowing flexibility for regional nuances in strategy execution.
    • Integrate and measure the value of social media programs with the Growth team, optimizing content types and channel strategies based on data.
    • Lead campaign planning processes, set best practices for writing of creative briefs and delivering culturally relevant social campaigns that raise the bar for the entire category
    • Support the development and management of our Global social and editorial calendars
    • Ensure compliance with local laws, including copyright and data protection, and build relationships with internal teams, agencies, and platforms for innovative campaigns.
    • Develop a wide range of content forms to best utilize the platforms and technology available to us, including videos, text or animation, live action and other content forms that best help us cultivate community and affinity for Airalo.
    • Set global benchmarks and standards for driving growth in followers and engagement across existing and new channels, while improving brand sentiment and building Airalo as a thought leader in the Connectivity and Travel categories.

Must-haves:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years experience in a social media marketing and creative development
    • Extensive experience in brand management, content, social media, and market insights with an in-depth understanding of the social and digital space for Global brands
    • Track record of initiating and leading the implementation of innovative ideas, measuring their impact, and iteratively optimizing strategies for success
    • Examples of driving a social strategy that successfully grew an audience and delivered on engagement metrics while building a brand with lasting impact
    • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube, and abreast of social media best practices, and regional, and global trends
    • Superior internal & external communication & cross-functional stakeholder management skills
    • Enjoying and excelling at handling multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix & complex environment
    • Good time management with an eye for perfection & a strong operational background

Good to have:

    • Prior experience in the tech, travel, or telecommunications industry and a passion for travel
    • Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies and services
    • Skilled in leveraging AI-driven social media analytics platforms like Hootsuite or Sprout Social for sentiment analysis, trend identification, and personalized content strategies based on predictive analytics.
