🧠  End-to-End Accounting for Client Portfolio

• Support a portfolio of clients as their main Accounting point of contact

• Manage multiple client engagements, and ensure clients' monthly financial packages are delivered timely, accurately, and well-presented

• Support preparation tax filings related to W2/1099s/3921s/DE Franchise Tax

• Review reconciliation schedules, such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities/expenses, and deferred revenue

• Collaborate with and supervise the international team on the same client portfolio including delegation and review of work performed to find and correct discrepancies

• Maintain cooperative relationships and foster mutual support with other airCFO service line teams and international accounting team

• Lead and communicate with team members to resolve conflicts and make decisions aligned with clients' priorities

• Support airCFO’s clients by lending your expertise in startup finance to help with financial management, KPI tracking, board prep, fundraising, and anything else that comes with the territory of early-stage startup finance leader.

• Build out investor-grade, dynamic financial models & forecasts for our clients to support their strategic decisions such as fundraising, hiring, go-to-market strategy and scenario planning.

• Leverage airCFO’s library of financial planning tools to help clients build a comprehensive financial plan for management & investor relations.

• Analyze clients’ financial results and write up Executive reports to be presented to startup C-Suite team members, helping them better understand their financial outlook and convey their narrative to investors and team members.

• Identify & compile relevant KPIs to ensure companies are monitoring appropriately

♻️  Client Relationship Management

• Advise, develop, and implement accounting solutions for compliance and efficiency improvement through fully understanding clients' growth preferences, operational constraints and evolving expectations

• Proactively search for opportunities to offer additional value-additive services to clients as they scale

• Lead monthly review calls with clients to present financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide analysis

• Navigate issues and road bumps that arise as a result of startup growing pains

💚  Contribute to Long-Term airCFO Initiatives

• Assist with the execution of company OKRs in areas such as product strategy, training and development, internal operations, etc.

• Stay up-to-date with the newest fintech tools and their capabilities to better serve a portfolio of scaling clients

• Stay informed of new regulations, industry trends, and economic developments to assess the impact of any accounting changes on clients' accounts to best serve our clients

• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and be an active member of the airCFO team of professionals

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required - Accounting or Finance required

• Client-facing experience and/or Big 4 experience is a BIG PLUS!

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate or general accounting, consulting, financial analysis, or a combination of experience

• Project management experience with accounting-based projects, and ability to deliver on-time outcomes Client-relationship experience with complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues and proposals.

• Self-starter approach to work with experience handling and managing multiple priorities

• Familiarity with GAAP and accrual accounting, CPA/CMA certification preferred

• Experience with remote tools and platforms (Slack, Zoom, Google Drive) preferred

• Solid working knowledge in QuickBooks/Xero is a big plus

• Experience with the following software is a plus: Bill.com, Brex, Ramp, Expensify, Gusto, Stripe, and Shopify
