And now, we are looking for an Engineering Manager prepared to contribute to the next chapter of our company's growth.
A manager will be empowered to judge which functional requirements will be part of the feature MVP to deliver features in the fastest way and achieve business goals. The engineering manager is the person who acts between business owners and the technical team and can apply experience in business and technical directions. The engineering manager can build and verify solutions with the team and, at the same time, assess the way how we sell the feature to our clients (review and tune AB experiments, investigate NSM metrics, etc.)

What you'll be working on:

    • Delivery management for strategic goals or initiatives.
    • MVP preparation (decomposition on epic or epics with requirements).
    • Architecture preparation (Architecture Decision Records).
    • NSM metrics ownership.
    • Control priorities in the roadmaps of the teams, which are allocated to the engineering manager.
    • Review epics after decomposition.
    • The suggested implementation must be in line with the overall architecture.
      User stories must fit the INVEST model.
      Decomposition describes which AB test is used and what metrics are important.
      API endpoint must meet team agreements to build API V2 and develop appropriate services.
      WebAPI changes must be backward compatible and follow RESTful principles.
      Security audit.
      The review suggested infrastructure: services, DBs, queues, and caching layers.
    • Mentoring team members.
    • Control development of technical debt, which has been selected for an architect.

What we expect from you:

    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Software Engineering Manager or Team Lead role.
    • Proficiency in coding with one or several PHP, Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or Go, and strong architectural skills.
    • Demonstrated experience in proactive involvement in project management, including tactical and strategic roadmap development.
    • Solid understanding of SOA principles and Web Services technologies (REST, GraphQL).
    • Experience owning the Software Development Lifecycle, adept in agile and waterfall methodologies.
    • Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing multi-component complex systems and engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with general product architecture, security, and compliance aspects.
    • Skillful in using key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the team's progress.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, set priorities, and collaborate with product owners and engineering managers.
    • Passionate about software quality, process improvement, and capable of developing and communicating a clear vision to the team.
