Airwallex is a financial technology company defining payment globally.  In the span of 3 years, we have secured over $102M USD in external funding, supported by top-tier investors including Tencent, Sequoia Capital China and MasterCard.  We use advanced technology to enable low-cost, high-speed and transparent international payments encompassing the entire cross-border payment value chain, from global collection to foreign exchange and international payment.  Led by a highly capable, experienced, and driven executive team, we have established international offices across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Singapore, Melbourne, London and San Francisco.

We're looking for a Financial Partnerships Manager to be based in Singapore (strong candidates located in Hong Kong, Melbourne or London will also be considered). The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has worked in the payments industry and will do what it takes to make sure Airwallex is successful.  This role based in Singapore and will require frequent travel to meet with partners in Asia.

The role
Build, evaluate and manage Airwallex’s key financial partnerships with the goal to deepen Airwallex’s product capability in the region as well as enable Airwallex to launch in new countries.
Scope, define, establish, negotiate, implement, and operationalize complex partnership engagements.
Be the bridge between financial partners and internal teams (product, compliance, legal etc.) to drive strategic initiatives and projects
Manage partnerships to review success factors and hold periodic meetings to discuss sales & marketing strategies, lead-gen, and new products / features.

The ideal candidate
A payments expert with a strong understanding of banking systems and experience in working with acquirers and/or card networks.
You should be compelled to work in a fast-growth, fintech start-up style environment, understanding the unique responsibility, creativity and flexibility involved.
This role requires the ability to be resourceful, action-oriented with strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Skills and Experience
5+ years’ experience in a similar role in fintech / technology
Experience in negotiation and partnership proposal development
Excellent written, verbal and in-person communication skills
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
