The role:
The VP, Sales role is the key senior management sales role at Airwallex.  Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology sales with specific focus on payments and/or cross-border flow. The ideal candidate will come from another top-tier player in our industry.
You and your team will be focused on selling our FX & API products (collection, FX and payout) to eCommerce retailers, marketplaces, online travel agents and other industries that are ideal for our product.   
You will use your deep network and experience to enable your team to target prospects and deliver quick results.

Responsibilities:

    • Building out and overseeing a top performing sales team and setting them up to achieve and exceed sales target volumes and revenues
    • Developing and implementing sales strategies
    • Forecasting future company salesIdentifying emerging markets and potential prospects
    • Acquiring new customers across Europe through your existing deep network and experience
    • Setting team KPIs and keeping them accountable against these
    • Negotiate partnership agreements and commercials contracts in conjunction with legal, finance and strategy through to execution

Who you are:

    • You are a top performing sales executive with a proven track record of building and managing a successful sales team within FX or payment sales in target verticals including eCommerce, marketplaces, online travel agents, etc
    • You are success-oriented and hold yourself and your team accountable for delivering key outcomes, including KPIs and revenue targets
    • You are strong leader and have an innate ability to inspire your team to achieve results
    • You are technically minded and have prior experience working in API sales for a similar
    • You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a level of maturity to run your own race within the organization
    • You are willing to travel domestically and internationally as required

Skills and Experience You Will Bring:

    • 10+ years sales leadership experience
    • 5+ years’ experience in similar role leading large sales teams in fintech / payments / FX industry with demonstrated track record of success (preferably at a top tier player in our space such as Adyen, Strip or Worldplay)
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
