Who we are

Aizon is a software-as-a-service provider that transforms manufacturing operations in life science industries using advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.

Following our recent Series C round of growth funding, we are looking for ambitious new team members motivated to directly impact our future growth and success as we launch what we consider “Aizon 3.0”. Aizon is helping pharma manufacturers and CDMOs make better decisions in GMP operations.

- What makes us different from other manufacturing platforms? We help operations leaders and engineers avoid endless cycles of chasing data in disparate and heavy-handed systems and rapidly understand how to run their manufacturing processes better.

- We’re solving multiple problems in GMP operations that cost manufacturers millions yearly while accelerating their digital maturity journey. One of our unique capabilities is the ability to operationalize the use of predictive AI models in real-time without a big data science staff.

- We’re backed by both industry and software investor firms like NewVale Capital, Atlantic Bridge, Danaher, Honeywell, CrossLink, and UnCork, with solid industry and technology expertise.

Our mission is to improve global health by optimizing how medicines are manufactured so that pharma and biotech companies can provide patients worldwide with the right medicine at the right time and price.

Join us if you are motivated to directly impact our company's success and growth path forward and, more importantly, by positively contributing to the life science industry and deserving patients worldwide.

The Position

As a Release Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Engineering team, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain automation pipelines for software build, test, and release processes, reducing manual intervention and accelerating delivery cycles.
    • Lead the implementation of CI/CD workflows to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment, ensuring consistency, reliability, and traceability throughout the software lifecycle.
    • Coordinate, communicate, and monitor automated release activities across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that engineering, testing, and compliance tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation tools into the planning, scheduling, and execution of software releases, aligning with project timelines and business goals.
    • Partner with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to embed automated validation and compliance checks into the release workflow, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 27001, GxP, and GMP standards.
    • Maintain detailed, audit-ready release documentation — including release notes, SOPs, and automated change logs — to support traceability and regulatory compliance
    • Participate in risk assessments, leveraging automation to identify and flag release-related issues proactively, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure software integrity.
    • Act as a liaison between development, QA, and operations teams, automating communication flows and status updates where possible to improve visibility and responsiveness.
    • Continuously evaluate release management processes to identify opportunities for automation, enhance operational efficiency, and promote collaboration across teams.

Knowledge and Experience

    • Educational Background: Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
    • Documentation Skills: Proficient in producing and maintaining comprehensive release documentation, including SOPs, release notes, and automated change logs, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and compliance.
    • Automation Awareness: Foundational understanding of automation in software development and release workflows (e.g., scripting, CI/CD tools, FrontEnd Dashboarding).

    • NICE TO HAVE:
    • Pharma Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with GxP and GMP guidelines within pharmaceutical or life sciences environments, and interest in applying these standards to software automation and release practices.
    • ISO Standards Understanding: Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements, particularly in the context of automated validation, auditing, and documentation practices.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of regulatory frameworks and documentation expectations for compliant software delivery in highly regulated industries.
    • Tool Familiarity: Exposure to version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jira, Google Chat Automation), and automation frameworks is a plus.

Skills

    • Programming & Scripting: Proficient in Python and JavaScript, with experience building automation scripts and tools for streamlining software release, deployment, and validation workflows.
    • Frontend Development: Familiarity with FrontEnd Dev tools (for example React) for creating intuitive, real-time dashboards and user interfaces that visualize release pipelines, build statuses, and compliance metrics.
    • Process Documentation: Skilled in documenting release processes, workflows, and SOPs clearly and accurately, supporting both team communication and regulatory compliance.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical details and release plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Detail-Oriented: Demonstrates a meticulous and thorough approach, ensuring all release components are validated, compliant, and accurately tracked — particularly in automated environments.
    • Collaboration: Experienced in working effectively within cross-functional teams, building strong partnerships across engineering, QA, compliance, and operations.
    • Problem-Solving: Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on using automation and tooling—including custom dashboard interfaces—to troubleshoot and improve release processes.
    • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating evolving requirements and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated pharmaceutical software environment.
