We are looking for a Manager of Reporting and Analytics with strong Tableau expertise to drive data-driven decision-making in our retail operations. This role will oversee sales, inventory, customer behavior, and operational performance analytics, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will lead a team of analysts, enhance reporting efficiency, and collaborate across departments to optimize business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute a Retail-focused reporting and analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to define key performance metrics.
• Drive improvements in data visualization and analytics efficiency across the organization.
Retail Analytics & Reporting
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards to track:
- Sales performance (by store, region, product, channel, etc.).
- Customer insights (shopping behavior, demographics, loyalty programs).
- Inventory management (stock levels, sell-through rates, markdowns, etc.).
- Operational efficiency (store performance, staffing, and supply chain analytics).
• Automate and streamline reporting processes to improve decision-making speed.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all reports and dashboards.
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
• Conduct deep-dive analysis on customer purchasing patterns, pricing strategies, and market trends.
• Use predictive analytics to forecast sales, demand, and inventory needs.
• Work with large and complex datasets, extracting meaningful insights to drive revenue growth.
• Identify opportunities for revenue optimization, margin improvement, and customer retention.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Marketing, finance, and store operations to meet reporting needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical Tableau solutions for various retail functions.
• Train business users on self-service reporting and Tableau best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Retail Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in retail analytics, business intelligence, or data reporting.
• Expertise in Tableau (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Prep).
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data extraction.
• Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance best practices.
• Solid understanding of retail KPIs, merchandising analytics, and customer insights.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Azure).
• Familiarity with POS systems, e-commerce analytics, and loyalty programs.
• Experience using Power BI, Looker, or QlikView as supplementary BI tools.
• Background in omnichannel retail, supply chain analytics, or customer segmentation.
$135,000 - $155,000 a year
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
