Akasha is looking for an Image Quality Engineer to help develop state of the art imaging systems. 

Responsibilities:

    • As Akasha's Image Quality Engineer, you will develop software and perform testing for camera evaluation.
    • You will be responsible for the develop of CMOS imager testing techniques
    • Optimization of ISPs and other imaging algorithms
    • Additionally, you will design and provide support of production line testing setups and isolation of issues at various parts of the supply chain
    • You will perform testing and data analysis on comparative products

Requirements:

    • Deep understanding of image quality metrics and evaluation methodology
    • Excellent Matlab skills for digital image processing and data analysis
    • Proficiency with Python programming is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of CMOS Sensor operation and tuning
    • Knowledge of lens characteristics (MTF) and qualification
    • Familiarity with imaging algorithms such as auto-exposure, auto HDR, auto white balance, and auto focus is a plus
    • Experience with objective camera bench testing and subjective image quality analysis
    • Familiarity with camera components and functions is a plus
    • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or equivalent
