The Janitor will perform daily custodial services for a 14,000 square foot federally-operated health center, which includes family practice, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and administrative areas. The role is critical in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe healthcare environment in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards.

-Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, eyewash stations, mirrors, shelves, and fixtures

-Sweep, dry vacuum, wet mop, and/or scrub floors

-Empty waste and sanitary receptacles; restock all dispensers

-Empty trash, replace liners

-Dust, wipe, and disinfect desks, tables, chairs, lampshades, and windowsills

-Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors

-Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of all patient rooms and labs

-Replace waste liners, clean equipment surfaces, and restock dispensers

-Spot clean walls, clear cobwebs, and maintain baseboards

-Clean lobbies, corridors, entrances, windows, and furniture

-Disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, push bars)

-Maintain clean and safe outside entrances and mats

-Use commercial equipment: high-speed scrubbers, vacuums, floor machines

-Move furniture and maintain equipment cleanliness and storage

-Ability to lift/move 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally; push loads up to 150 lbs

-Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and use hands and arms for extended periods

-Must follow universal precautions and use PPE (e.g., gloves, masks, scrubs)

-Comfortable working near mechanical parts, in wet/humid conditions, and around cleaning chemicals

-U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency required

-Must pass a background check and suitability determination per HSPD-12 requirements
