Work Schedule:
Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (typically scheduled 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Weekends: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (rotating)
Holidays: May be scheduled; compensatory time may be provided
Typical workweek: 40–50 hours

Position Overview:
Under a non-personal services contract, the Family Medicine Physician will provide high-quality, outpatient primary care to patients of all ages at the WWKMHCC. Services will reflect the full spectrum of rural family practice and align with IHS medical standards, facility policies, and national accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for acute and chronic illnesses.
-Conduct minor procedures as credentialed.
-Participate in Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives.
-Order and interpret diagnostic tests, consult with specialists as needed.
-Educate patients on wellness, preventive care, and disease management.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
-Engage in peer reviews, quality improvement activities, and medical staff committees.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
-Comply with IHS formulary and prescribing guidelines.
-Adhere to HIPAA, CMS, and facility-specific regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
-MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
-Completion of a Family Medicine residency (board-certified or board-eligible).
-Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state or territory.
-Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
-Minimum two (2) years of recent experience in Family Medicine (within the past 36 months).
-Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in rural or tribal healthcare settings.
-Familiarity with IHS policies and Purchased & Referred Care guidelines.
-Experience with culturally sensitive care for Native American populations.
