Overview:
Akicita Federal is seeking Asset Data Cleanup Technicians to support the Bureau of Indian Education’s (BIE) comprehensive location and asset data cleanup efforts. Technicians will correct, reconcile, and verify real property asset records within IBM Maximo, FBMS-S4HANA, and associated federal real property management systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to engage with facility managers, Division of Facilities Management and Construction (DFMC) personnel, and BIE staff to ensure accurate, policy-compliant data across all facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Generate and format Excel-based reports detailing real property assets for each school site, categorized by Site ID and Location Type, utilizing extracted data from Maximo, FBMS-S4HANA, and other systems.
-Coordinate with BIE and DFMC personnel to:
-Review and validate building asset records and location hierarchies.
-Investigate discrepancies in facility data, including square footage, asset status, structure number, and GPS coordinates.
-Support the completion of Discrepancy Worksheets, ABZON forms, DI-103 Reports of Survey, and Statements of Circumstance.
-Validate Deferred Maintenance Work Orders (DMWOs) by identifying duplicates, vague entries, or corrected work orders, and support administrative closure or correction actions within Maximo.
-Assist with the removal of outdated, demolished, or non-existent buildings from asset records following required documentation procedures (DI-103, DI-104, BIA Form 4335).
-Identify missing or "found" assets through the ABZON process and ensure that all supporting documentation (e.g., square footage, estimated value, ownership verification) is compiled and submitted.
-Engage with school facility managers and administrators to validate data corrections and obtain required signatures for reconciliation documents.
-Deliver complete, standardized data cleanup packets for each school site, including:
-Interior Facility Metrics: GSF, NSF, room counts, doorways, hallway linear footage, and room-level breakdowns.
-Exterior Site Metrics: Facility footprint, athletic fields, playgrounds, paved surfaces, lagoons, and miscellaneous structures.
-Real Property Reconciliation Reports: Completed ABZON forms, DI-103 reports, discrepancy worksheets, and FCA validation excerpts.
-Administrative Data Update Logs: Record of all corrections categorized by update type and final BIE/school sign-off.
Maintain organized documentation and provide summary reports of completed updates for review and archival purposes.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including report generation, formatting, and data reconciliation functions.
-Knowledge (or ability to gain within 90 days of start date) of:
-FBMS S4HANA Asset and Location Modules
-IBM Maximo for Facility Asset Management
-BIA/BIE Real Property and Asset Management policies and procedures
-Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and errors in real property data.
-Ability to clearly document changes and corrections for audit and recordkeeping purposes.
-Strong interpersonal communication skills to engage with school administrators, facilities personnel, and BIE staff.
-Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with multiple stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
-Minimum of two (2) years of experience in asset management, facilities data management, or administrative support roles involving records maintenance and data validation.
-Familiarity with federal real property and asset management systems is highly desirable.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cleanup projects simultaneously.

Additional Information:
-Must be able to travel to BIE school sites as needed to conduct onsite data verification.
-Final deliverables must meet BIE data cleanup standards and be submitted within required timeframes.
-All work performed must comply with applicable federal property management regulations, BIE policies, and asset accountability standards.
