About the role
APG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive networking knowledge to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Paterna.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Network, Server, and Storage infrastructure on a global scale. 

Collaborating with team members across different locations, you will deliver highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions for the entire group. Utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies, we focus on efficient project delivery and meeting business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including Firewalls and Switches. 
    • Manage Virtual Server Environments using Vsphere. Maintain scalable storage solutions. 
    • Proactively monitor key services and address alerts promptly. 
    • Manage patching and security vulnerabilities in alignment with the approved strategy. 
    • Plan and execute disaster recovery to ensure business continuity. 
    • Serve as an escalation point for complex support queries from other engineering teams.

    • Technical Excellence: As an escalation point for support queries, you contribute to efficient problem resolution and seamless operations.

Experience and Attributes we’d like to see:

    • Strong understanding of Network Infrastructure, including Firewalls, Switching, and Wifi. Preferably CCNP (or higher) certified or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience. 
    • Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux OS implementation, configuration, and maintenance. Familiarity with Storage Area Networks. 
    • Knowledge of Fortinet products
    • Experience managing and maintaining Highly Available environments. 
    • Ability to document Network Infrastructure effectively.. 
    • Motivated and eager to learn new technologies while delivering high-quality results. 

Nice to Have Experience:

    • Exposure to NetApp and Veeam technologies
    • Familiar with Cloud computing, especially AWS. Knowledgeable about security updates and patching techniques.
    • Knowledge of the Dutch, German, French, or Spanish language would be advantageous.
