JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Associate – Cyber Resilience plays a key role in enhancing the organization's ability to prepare for, withstand, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents. This role bridges cybersecurity operations and business continuity/disaster recovery (BC/DR), ensuring that cyber resilience is embedded across critical systems and processes. Working closely with the SOC, VAPT, IT Infrastructure, and BCP/DR teams, the role drives resilience exercises, recovery testing, and post-incident readiness.
The role is only for UAE National.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cyber Resilience Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain cyber resilience plans aligned with business priorities and cyber threat landscape.
- Support the integration of cyber incident scenarios into enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Define and track cyber-specific Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for critical services.
Resilience Testing & Validation
- Coordinate and execute regular backup and restore validation, failover tests, and tabletop exercises simulating cyber incidents (e.g., ransomware, DDoS, data breach).
- Partner with IT/Infra teams to assess the resilience of infrastructure and critical applications.
- Monitor effectiveness of cyber recovery capabilities and ensure readiness of key systems and teams.
Cyber Crisis Management Support
- Support the Security operational lead for resilience during major cyber incidents.
- Maintain and test the cyber crisis communication and escalation framework.
- Support coordination between SOC, IR, business units, and executive teams during crises.
Incident Response & Post-Incident Readiness
- Assist the SOC and IR team in aligning incident response playbooks with resilience and recovery requirements.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to identify resilience gaps and track lessons learned to closure.
- Ensure cyber recovery scenarios are updated based on evolving threats and incidents.
Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Define and report on cyber resilience KPIs/KRIs (e.g., exercise success rate, recovery time effectiveness, backup health status).
- Develop dashboards and management reporting on resilience preparedness and maturity.
- Identify areas for automation or process improvement in recovery and readiness workflows.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk, and IT Infrastructure teams to ensure cyber risks are addressed in continuity plans.
- Provide cyber resilience expertise in audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to evaluate and improve their cyber resilience posture (as applicable).
RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Min of 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or business continuity roles.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Hands-on experience in incident response, backup and recovery validation, and cyber crisis management.
- Strong understanding of cyber threats and recovery challenges
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and business teams
- Attention to detail with documentation and reporting
- Self-driven, structured, and collaborative working style
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional)
- CRISC, CISM or equivalent
- ITIL, ISO 27001/27031 knowledge
- GIAC certifications in incident response, resilience, or cyber defense are a plus
