Job description: Forte Well-Being, in our Mesa location, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Medical Assistants to join our growing team! We are striving to redesign how people experience healthcare in our clinics. Our services include medical, integrative medicine, obesity medicine, dietitian, physical therapy, culinary medicine, occupational therapy, health coaching, and more. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized. We have entry-level to experienced positions available.

Mesa Office: 4135 South Power Road, Mesa, Arizona

Pay Range: Starts at $20 per hour and based upon experience.

Medical specialties: Primary Care

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work setting: Clinic In-person

Ability to commute/relocate: Mesa, AZ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience: EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

    • Accompanying patients to exam room, recording, and entering vitals in the medical record.
    • Record patient’s health history in the medical record, as appropriate.
    • Assist clinician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
    • Prepare lab and imaging orders, and complete referrals.
    • Communicate results within the Medical Assistant scope of practice; Report abnormal findings per Clinician protocol.
    • Explain procedures and test results.
    • Resolve, and complete calls or messages as assigned.
    • Accurately document all patient information and conversations in the medical record.
    • Maintain and understand clinician protocols for workflows.
    • Prepare equipment, supplies, and stocking exam rooms.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, clinicians, and patients.
    • Contribute as a part of a team providing excellent care and service to patients.

Qualifications:

    • MA experience in primary care or related medical experience preferred, but not required.
    • Familiarity with medical procedures, including EKG, preferred, but not required.
    • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistance certification program preferred.
    • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
