We are searching for a Manager, Revenue Cycle Management to join the team! The Manager, Revenue Cycle Management will oversee and manage the A+ Revenue Cycle Staff within Aledade to help Aledade’s Primary Care Physician partners maximize the revenue they capture from their day-to-day work, ensuring they are able to maintain and grow their practices, with the resources necessary to provide best-in-class care to their patients.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new employees 
    • Oversees the daily workflow and needs of the department 
    • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations  
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Scale and manage the day to day operations of the revenue cycle management solution that supports designated Aledade partner practices in billing and coding activities.
    • Lead and manage a team of virtual billers and coders, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
    • Oversee all aspects of the medical billing and coding processes, including practice specific SOPs, pre-visit planning, chart audits, claim submission, denial management and, reduce denials, reduce days in AR and improve claim turnaround time.
    • Generate regular reports on billing performance, revenue metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive leadership and practice partners, analyzing billing data and financial reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement practice level performance goals and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve billing/coding processes and revenue outcomes.
    • Coordinate with Clinical Documentation Improvement Quality Audit team to review coding audit results and implement process improvement strategy and education for coders.    
    • Design, develop and maintain designated program playbooks.
    • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

    • 8+ years of medical billing and coding and/or fee for service revenue cycle management  experience in an ambulatory care or outpatient office setting, preferably primary care 
    • Experience working in an Accountable Care Organization
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent critical thinking, organization, and time management skills
    • Highly organized and proactive in raising questions around clarity, prioritization, blockers, and other points to drive assigned tasks forward
    • Demonstrated ability to manage without explicit authority
    • Demonstrated ability to consult with primary care providers and practice stakeholders
    • Expert understanding of billing and coding guidelines
    • Understanding of fee-for-service and value based contract principles
    • A self-starter who can take initiative and ownership, with demonstrated success managing multiple projects
    • A collaborative team player with a roll-up your sleeves mentality
    • Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems with a high level of autonomy

Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree    
    • 8 years in the discipline
    • CPC from AAPC or CCS-P from AHIMA

Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Master’s degree in business, health administration or healthy policy 
    • 9+ years in the discipline

Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
