Position: Physician Assistant
Job Description
- This position is for 2-3 days per week at a growing private family practice, with potential to be full-time in the future if the candidate desires.
- Provider will take weekend call in a rotating schedule with other staff providers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct physical examinations and medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as medical imaging
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Participate in public health initiatives and community outreach programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant
- More than 2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency in data management and electronic health records systems
