Pay Range: Starts at $20 per hour and based upon experience.

Ability to commute/relocate: Phoenix, AZ: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience: EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

    • Accompanying patients to exam room, recording, and entering vitals in the medical record.
    • Record patient’s health history in the medical record, as appropriate.
    • Assist clinician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
    • Prepare lab and imaging orders, and complete referrals.
    • Communicate results within the Medical Assistant scope of practice; Report abnormal findings per Clinician protocol.
    • Explain procedures and test results.
    • Resolve, and complete calls or messages as assigned.
    • Accurately document all patient information and conversations in the medical record.
    • Maintain and understand clinician protocols for workflows.
    • Prepare equipment, supplies, and stocking exam rooms.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, clinicians, and patients.
    • Contribute as a part of a team providing excellent care and service to patients.

Qualifications:

    • MA experience in primary care or related medical experience preferred, but not required.
    • Familiarity with medical procedures, including EKG, preferred, but not required.
    • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistance certification program preferred.
    • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
