Aledade is seeking a Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to establish and manage a centralized data-driven, risk-based ERM program. This role will be responsible for developing the ERM architecture for the company, providing leadership and direction to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive risk framework. The ERM Director will establish and maintain the tools, practices, and policies for comprehensive risk analysis, reporting, and management, ensuring alignment with all applicable regulations, standards, and strategic objectives. This role will collaborate with leadership, business units, and relevant stakeholders to embed risk management into Aledade's culture and operations.

We are flexible with geographic location—the ideal candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or from our Bethesda, MD or Durham, NC offices.

Primary Duties:

    • Own, develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management framework, including policies, methodologies, and tools aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead the process of identifying and assessing potential risks across the organization, including strategic, financial, operational, and compliance risks.
    • Create and execute risk mitigation strategies and monitor their effectiveness, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken when necessary to prevent regulatory and/or reputational harm.
    • Utilize data analytics to identify risk trends, patterns, and emerging risks, and prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board of Directors. Advise Compliance leadership on risk exposure, tolerance and mitigation plans.
    • Collaborate with various departments and business units to integrate risk management into their respective functions and processes.
    • Develop and deliver ERM training programs to enhance risk awareness and promote a risk-conscious culture throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 10+ years of experience in risk management, governance, or similar roles, ideally in the health care industry.
    • Strong understanding of ERM frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

    • Experience in value-based care health care delivery model.
    • Experience presenting and reporting to the Board of Directors.
    • Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP).
    • Prior management experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time (e.g., team events, retreats, All Staff)
