Location: Barnum Internal Medicine
Position: LPN
Immediate Need for LPN
Barnum Internal Medicine is an established, fast-paced, private internal medicine practice hiring a full-time LPN. This position is responsible for providing nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 – 5:00
Duties:
- Assists providers with coordination of patient care
- Obtains medical history and vital signs; documents in patient record
- Functions as primary liaison between patients and provider
- Prepares equipment and supplies and aids providers during treatment, examination, and testing patients
- Educates patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness
- Maintains and reviews electronic patient records
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information
- Returns patients’ phone calls with provider's answers as directed and returns pharmacy phone calls as directed
- Keeps exam rooms ready, clean and stocked for each patient visit
- Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Assists with data collection and other ACO related duties
Skills:
- Current LPN license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to manage time, organize, prioritize and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and customer/patient focused
- HIPPA/privacy/confidentiality knowledge
- Infection control and OSHA guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication via phone and in person
- Experience with electronic patient records
